The restaurant in the Courtice flea market has been known by many names over the past 30 years. The Courtice Canteen is the small restaurant nestled in The Courtice Flea Market, Open 9am-4:30pm Saturday & Sunday
breif history
The Courtice Canteen is a dream come true for Chef James Simic. As a fifteen year boy, Chef James worked at The Courtice Flea Market Directing traffic, while also working as a dishwasher at East Side Marios. James knew then that he wanted to run a restaurant and that the market would be where he would start out.

Fast forward eleven years and that thought has become a reality! After traveling around Canada and working his way through many restaurants from Embers Steak house in Jasper, AB to Fish Bones Seafood and Oyster Bar in Charlottetown, PEI.

The Courtice Canteen as established November 1rst 2018, but dreamed about for years.
